Royal Enfield Unveils the Classic 650: A Modern Homage to Timeless Design

Royal Enfield has expanded its 650cc lineup with the introduction of the Classic 650, a motorcycle that seamlessly blends vintage aesthetics with contemporary engineering. Unveiled at the EICMA show in Milan, the Classic 650 pays tribute to the brand's storied heritage while offering modern performance and features.
Design: A Tribute to Heritage
The Classic 650's design draws inspiration from Royal Enfield's iconic models, featuring a teardrop-shaped fuel tank, a single-piece saddle, and a round headlamp encased in chrome. The motorcycle's retro appeal is further enhanced by spoked wheels and a generous application of chrome on the exhaust and mirrors. Available in color options such as Black Chrome, Bruntingthorpe Blue, Vallam Red, and Teal, the Classic 650 caters to riders seeking a nostalgic aesthetic.
Performance: Modern Powertrain
At the heart of the Classic 650 lies a 648cc parallel-twin engine, delivering 46.4 horsepower at 7,250 rpm. This engine, shared with other models in Royal Enfield's 650cc range, is mated to a six-speed constant mesh transmission, ensuring smooth and responsive performance suitable for both urban commuting and highway cruising.
Chassis and Suspension: Balanced Ride
The motorcycle features a tubular spine frame, complemented by 43mm Showa telescopic front forks and dual rear springs, providing a comfortable and stable ride. The 19-inch front and 18-inch rear spoked wheels, equipped with dual-channel ABS, ensure confident handling and braking across various riding conditions.

While the Classic 650 exudes a vintage charm, it incorporates modern amenities such as an LED headlamp and tail lamp, an analogue console with a small LCD display, and a USB Type-C charging port. These features enhance the riding experience without compromising the motorcycle's classic appeal.
